All the history and tough-girl durability of the original, iconic 8-eye softened up with a military-inspired neutral. This Pascal was constructed on our iconic Dr. Martens AirWair bouncing sole, that´s oil-and-fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance and has been since 1960. The women´s 8-eye boot is Goodyear welted, meaning the upper and sole are sewn together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch for enhanced comfort. The Pascal is made with Virginia, a soft, fine grained Nappa leather.

I removed the original soles to put thinner ones until the leather relaxes a bit (about 2 weeks for me). The leather is thinner and therefore more flexible.

I bought this model because my daughter has the classic model and it takes time for it to soften and become comfortable to wear. This model, on the other hand, is comfortable and soft from the very first step. Pay attention to the measures because it fits smaller than the other (my daughter's 38 is wide while this is right for me!). The times between order and shipping are proverbial but with such a competitive price you can turn a blind eye and be patient.

Second pair of this brand. The leather of this model is very supple, so you don't have to break it in. The delivery of the shoes was easy to track via the app. It does take a few days longer to receive the shoes, but that patience was easy to muster (the price was also much lower than the suggested retail price).
